Rare: Cool to warm red centre like raw meat but cooked on the outside.
Medium Rare: Warm pink to red center. Firm on the outside, soft and juicy inside.
Medium: Band of pink through middle with slightly more gray–brown than pink.
Medium Well: Gray–brown throughout with hint of pink.
Well Done: Grayish–brown with no sign of pink, outside usually slightly charred.
